How to Sell Unused Logo Designs … on BrandCrowd

DesignCrowd logo designers can now sell unused logo designs (i.e. logo designs that were not selected / purchased / used by clients) via BrandCrowd.com.  This will help you make money from every logo uploaded to DesignCrowd (and potentially become a billionaire*).

*term ‘billionaire’ used loosely
As background, BrandCrowd is DesignCrowd’s new marketplace for selling logos.  You can think of BrandCrowd like istockphoto for logos.  Many of our top designers on DesignCrowd are already aware of this dirty/clean/amazing little secret – and they have already started selling on BrandCrowd (see: Konsepts Creative, Elisha Leo, Clement Nicolle and Goh Design).
In this article, we’ll show you the 5 Steps to Sell Unused Logos on BrandCrowd.

5 Steps to Sell Unused Logos on BrandCrowd

Step 1 – open an account on BrandCrowdIf you don’t already, open a free account on BrandCrowd.Step 2 – select a logo to upload to BrandCrowd Select any logo from your personal portfolio or DesignCrowd portfolio that you have not sold to a client.  (Note: If you’re logged in on DesignCrowd, just click the “Sell this design on BrandCrowd” button to get started – see screenshot below).

Step 3 – modify the logo

You’ll need to customize.  The two changes you need to do are

1. Change the name of the logo;
2. Ensure the dimensions are 325 wide x 260 high.

Step 4 – upload the logo (and set a price)

The next step is to upload the logo to BrandCrowd.  Complete the logo upload questionnaire describing your logo or brand.  Be sure to ‘tag’ your logo with keywords – e.g. ‘cooking’ will help it appear in the cooking logo gallery and ‘hat’ will help it appear in the hat logo gallery.
Once your logo is uploaded, we’ll review it and (hopefully) approve the logo.  We do this to ensure only quality logo designs are sold on BrandCrowd.  (Note: We’ve just introduced 24 hour turnaround on all submissions – so you won’t have to wait long!)  Once the logo is for sale it’ll be added to our recent logos gallery.
